I prefer all my login accounts to log out when I close Firefox. All of my settings are set up to do so, nothing changed, yet suddenly for the last week or so, it has simply stopped logging me out. Every day when I log in, there everything is again. I keep rechecking all my settings, even turning them back off and on, and nothing is fixing this. What's going on?

I asked this same question in Reddit and got a reply to uncheck "delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed", close all Firefox windows, and reopen them, and this did not correct the problem. Please advise.

You identify 4/5 devices, but I only have 2. - a new Nimo laptop (Rdn-Can68) and another relatively new Acer Nitro 50 desktop. Not sure what tag you have given for it. Firefox is not saving my passwords. Every time I start up my laptop, all the saved passwords are gone. I have tried a refresh and a new install as well, but the problem persists. I have to sync to my other machine to restore them.

Ubuntu - I use the SNAP version of Firefox - I generally have lots of tabs open but only use 5 or so of them and it's generally fine.... but when I am closing Firefox, it USES like 100% of the CPU and ALL of the RAM and ALL of the SWAP memory when closing.

This locks up the computer.

Sometimes it doesn't quite go all the way but I can watch it all happen in real time, using Task Manager - and that shows a solidwall of all resources occouring, when the close Firefox is run.

I am told by research via ChatGPT that this is a very real problem with the SNAP version and it's best to change to the Debian version, copy all the bookmarks etc., across and then uninstall the SNAP version.

It's rather disconcerting to have Linux crash because of this one app locking it up and frequently.

If I have vertical tabs enabled, and tabs sidebar uncollapsed it will unexpectedly change to collapsed if I reorder a tab via drag and drop. See attached gif.

Tabs crashing seems to be becoming more frequent. Also I use an online forum when wanting to post a reply I cant see the options for Font size, colour, emoji's etc
